Where would you like to start

Five ways projects reach us

Most projects arrive with paperwork attached — an insurance scope, an approved grant, a violation notice, or a permit that will not issue until the environmental work is done. Start with the one that matches your situation.

Water damage

Water damage in an older property

Before demolition begins, determine whether lead, asbestos or other environmental conditions affect the work — then containment, abatement, controlled demolition and reconstruction.

Water damage & remediation
Insurance claim

Insurance claim or property loss

Environmental evaluation, written scopes, photographic documentation and licensed abatement, prepared so owners, adjusters and restoration professionals are working from clear information.

Insurance-related projects
Insurance claim

Approved lead grant or rehabilitation program

Send your approved scope of work, inspection report, risk-assessment report or program paperwork. We review the required work and prepare an estimate.

Grant & program projects
Insurance claim

Lead violation or childhood lead-hazard case

Health Department violation, failed dust wipe, or a case involving a child with an elevated blood lead level. Licensed removal of the identified hazards, through clearance.

Lead violation removal
Insurance claim

Demolition or major renovation

Asbestos survey and sampling, lead requirements determined before painted surfaces are disturbed, rodent documentation where required, and licensed abatement.

Contractor who found lead or asbestos

For restoration companies, general contractors and property managers — we take the environmental portion, document it, and hand the building back ready for your crews.

Work with us

Why owners and contractors call us

We work where environmental hazards, building damage and construction overlap

Plenty of companies do one of these three things. The projects that stall are the ones that need all three at once — an old building, a hazard in the materials, and work that has to be rebuilt properly afterward.

Environmental knowledge

Lead and asbestos evaluation, sampling and hazard identification — and the reporting that municipalities, programs and project teams actually accept.

Appropriate licensing

New Jersey lead abatement and asbestos abatement licences, so the removal work is performed by the same office that scoped it.

Construction capability

Registered New Jersey home improvement contractor. When the hazard is gone, the doors, windows, casings, drywall and finishes go back in.

Lead grant & rehabilitation programs

Already approved? Send us your scope of work.

If you have been approved for a lead remediation, abatement or housing rehabilitation program, the hard question is usually not funding — it is finding a contractor who can actually perform the approved work and handle the paperwork that comes with it.

Send us the scope, the inspection or risk-assessment report, or the program paperwork. We review the required work, tell you plainly which portions we can perform, and prepare an estimate.

  • Lead remediation and licensed abatement
  • Component replacement — windows, doors, frames, trim
  • Drywall, plaster, painting and interior repairs
  • Exterior repairs, drainage corrections and French-drain work where included
  • Sewer and drain investigation where a project indicates a concern

Approved scopes vary. Not every program covers every item above — we review your actual approved scope and identify which portions we can perform. We do not determine funding, eligibility, reimbursement or change-order approval.

Water damage in an older property

Before demolition begins, find out whether lead or asbestos affects the work

Water damage in an older building is not only a drying problem. Painted plaster, joint systems, ceilings, trim, doors, windows, flooring and insulation may all need to come out — and in an older property, removing them can disturb lead-painted components or suspect asbestos-containing materials. Not every water-damaged building contains them. The point is to know before the demolition starts, not after.

02Environmental evaluationEvaluation and testing of the affected materials
03Conditions identifiedLead or asbestos conditions confirmed or ruled out
04Containment & abatementAppropriate containment and licensed abatement
05Selective demolitionAffected materials removed under control
06ClearanceIndependent clearance where required
07ReconstructionComponents replaced and finishes restored

When a normal water-damage project turns into an environmental project, we have the licences and the construction capability to carry it through both halves. Moisture and mold concerns are addressed or coordinated with appropriately qualified professionals or subcontractors where necessary.

Reconstruction after abatement

We don’t stop when the hazard is removed

Most abatement companies hand back a stripped room and a phone number for somebody else. That handoff is where projects lose weeks and owners lose money. We hold the New Jersey home improvement contractor registration, so the same office that performed the abatement puts the building back together.

  • Doors, frames, casings, thresholds and windows
  • Drywall, plaster repair, trim and baseboards
  • Surface preparation, priming and painting
  • Flooring-related work and interior repairs
  • Exterior repairs where included in the approved scope

Environmental abatement and reconstruction through one project team.

For restoration contractors, GCs & property managers

You found lead or asbestos. We can take that part of the project.

You do not need to turn the job down or hand the client to a competitor. We handle the environmental portion, document it properly for the project team, and hand the building back ready for your work — or complete the reconstruction ourselves if that is easier for you.

Responsive evaluation

Site attendance, sampling and identification when your project is already open and waiting.

Clear scopes & estimates

Written environmental scopes your client, the owner and the project team can all read.

Photographic documentation

Progress and completion photographs, including conditions that will not be visible later.

Abatement & selective demolition

Licensed removal and controlled demolition of the affected materials.

Clearance coordination

Independent clearance coordinated with an appropriately qualified independent provider where required.

Reconstruction if you want it

We can stop at clearance, or rebuild the components we removed. Your call.

We provide environmental documentation, photographs, scopes and estimates so property owners and the appropriate restoration and insurance professionals have clear information about the work required. Coverage decisions remain with the carrier and the applicable policy. We are not a public adjuster and we do not negotiate claims.

Credentials

Licensed for the work we sell

Evaluation, abatement and construction are separately licensed in New Jersey. Holding them together is what lets one call cover the whole project instead of three vendors pointing at each other.

The owner runs the job. Selva performs and supervises the work personally rather than handing your property to a rotating crew list.
Independence where it is required. Independent post-abatement clearance is coordinated with an appropriately qualified independent provider when required.
Permits and notifications handled. Notifications, township permits and scope submissions are prepared as part of the project. Permit fees are passed through at actual cost.
Construction

Who you are working with

Environmental experience. Construction experience. One project team.

I’m Selvendran Narasingam — most people call me Selva. My earlier work included lead paint investigation in Hudson County on behalf of the State of New Jersey, on childhood lead-hazard cases.

I also have more than fifteen years in construction. That combination is the reason AAGLead understands both the environmental hazard and the building components that have to be repaired or reconstructed afterward.
